Transforming Teacher Education through Clinical Practice: A National Strategy to Prepare Effective Teachers is a report of the NCATE-commissioned Blue Ribbon Panel on Clinical Preparation and Partnerships for Improved Student Learning. The report contains the 10 Design Principles for clinically-based preparation; vignettes of promising practices; elements of a new model of preparation; Panel recommendations; and a call to action; plus endnotes and references. It provides a framework and roadmap for teacher preparation program redesign and transformation.
