At the NCATE Clinic in 2006, the task force on “New Program Approval” suggested that NCATE post examples of state procedures used to approve new teacher education programs. These examples could be used by states as they consider updating their approval process. In response to a request from NCATE State Relations, ten states have described their procedures.
